Lisa Lynch
Educator, writer and perpetual student
Hi!
I’m Lisa Katrina Lynch, a teacher and writer who never stops studying. There is always another course to take, another field to explore, another question on the horizon.
Born and raised in Northern Ireland, I eventually settled in Sweden after time spent living in California and England. My early studies were in music: I hold a Bachelor of Music from Queen’s University Belfast and a Postgraduate Diploma in Music Theatre from the Royal Academy of Music in London. After working in music, then having two children and relocating to a new country (and a new language), I returned to university and completed a Bachelor of Arts in Early Years Education at Malmö University, followed by a Master of Science in Social Studies of Gender at Lund University.
In addition to my degrees, I have pursued further university study in Creative Writing, Montessori Education, Critical Animal Studies and Estill Voice Training, among others, as well as completed several yoga teacher training programs beginning in Bali in 2005.
My interests are wide and varied, a fact I have finally learned to accept. I go to the gym, dance, practice yoga, sing, and play piano. I also read everything from research articles about gender politics, early years education and research methods, to fast-paced thrillers and comics. Not to mention my large collection of books on the environment and slow, sustainable living.
I’m not just one thing, but a messy, evolving combination of all the things I love. Welcome to my website and my various curiosities.
